Zisha Francis

Innately, Zisha finds empathy for others, inclusivity for all with a therapeutic drive in making people feel comfortable and valued. All throughout her childhood and schooling, you would know Zisha as the person who established friendships with diverse populations. The importance of creating relationships is intentional and meaningful with the people she meets. Her leadership began as a graduate student from Eastern Kentucky University. There, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Park Administration with a Therapeutic Recreation option. She has worked in the field since 2001 serving as a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist, CTRS. She maintains her credentialing from the National Council for Therapeutic Certification. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from Syracuse University. She has experience working with various populations in multiple settings with emphasis in supporting our elders. Over the years, her leadership has evolved from a Recreational Therapist, to Consultant and she has gained credentialing as a Qualified Memory Care Professional (QMCP). Advocating, serving, hospitality, creating and developing innovative approaches, best practices and standards, building relationships, and education and training in a supportive environment has proven to be key strengths for her success in the field.

Outside of her professional career, she is married with two wonderfully and endearing children. She enjoys everything kid friendly, exercising, running races, socializing, cooking, and most importantly, her family time.

In the next step of her journey, Zisha is thrilled to apply her knowledge and experiences in serving Guests to meet their fullest potential in an intergraded community. Services such as Adult Day Centers are a wonderful resource in connecting with the greater community in fostering the will to stay home as long as possible. She is excited to learn, lead, and serve.
